OUR STORY

An environment where an unknown language is spoken in an unknown land

Continuous difficulties in getting used to cultural differences

What makes you feel relieved is the Japanese food you are used to eating.

When I eat, I feel calm,

“Let’s do our best again” gives me energy.

With dishes that will keep your body and mind healthy

I want to support your life.

MY PROFILE

Hello everyone. My name is Aya Sugisawa. Born on August 29, 1989, I grew up in Tochigi Prefecture, surrounded by nature. I moved to Fukuoka Prefecture when I got married, and then started living in the Netherlands in 2017 as my husband was transferred overseas. At first, there were many things that I wasn't used to, and there were a lot of things I was nervous about, and I wasn't good at making friends, but little by little I got used to the Dutch environment, and the number of friends of my age increased, and things went by in the blink of an eye. Six years have passed. When I live in the Netherlands, I sometimes feel that I am supported by the people around me even more than in Japan. I have given birth twice in the Netherlands, and although I don't have any parents nearby, I am very impressed by the Netherlands, which is a child-friendly society where someone is always there to support me, and now it has become my favorite country. Masu. The opportunities to invite mom friends and husband's friends to my home for dinner have gradually increased, and thankfully, I've heard comments like ``Aya's cooking is so delicious. I want to learn how to cook from Aya.'' I've started getting it. The reason I decided to try cooking classes was because of the feedback I received from the people around me. The people I have invited to dinner parties so far include not only Japanese, but also Dutch, Brazilian, Mexican, Indian, Italian, Chinese, and many other nationalities. I really feel that the Netherlands is home to people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Through this experience in the Netherlands, I was able to come into contact with different cultures and customs. Using this experience, I would like to offer courses that allow everyone to discover new things while having fun learning. Let's learn together and experience a new world together. Please feel free to ask any questions. I look forward to meeting you.
